SMILES, STORIES & SPIDER PLANTS: TSIIONKWANONHSO:TE WELCOMES SPECIAL YOUNG VISITORS

The residents at Tsiionkwanonhso:te were recently brightened by a heartwarming visit from students at St. Joseph’s Catholic School! The students were full of excitement as they spent time meeting, chatting, and connecting with our totas through meaningful and fun activities.

The visit featured a creative clay pot painting activity, where students and totas worked side by side to design their very own pots. Once complete, each pot was planted with a beautiful spider plant — a special keepsake for the totas to enjoy in their rooms. The students even helped deliver the finished pots, adding a lovely personal touch to each elder's space.

The group also spent time reading “Big Bear” by Strong Nations together, sharing stories and laughter along the way. To top it all off, everyone gathered to enjoy a delicious Pizza Hut lunch — bringing even more smiles and full hearts to the day!

A special nia:wen/thank you to everyone who helped plan and bring this wonderful visit to life, and to the thoughtful students and staff at St. Joseph’s Catholic School for making the day so memorable for our totas. Your kindness and time truly mean the world!
