CANNING SESSION ON THOMPSON ISLAND
Learn, share, and lend a hand! Akwesasró:non are welcome to join Thompson Island Cultural Camp to help prepare and can food for the upcoming Elders Food Giveaway while learning Kanien’keha along the way.
Date: September 22-24, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Location: Thompson Island
Participants will be picked up and dropped off at the following locations:

| 11 person limit | 9 person limit |
Lunch will be provided for all participants, and each participant will be able to take a jar of the prepared food home.
Space is limited, and interested participants must attend all three days. To register, please email ticc@akwesasne.ca and specify your preferred marina for pick-up, along with number of participants attending.
