AKWESASNE SPRING CLEAN-UP 2025

Join us on Saturday, May 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as we come together to care for our land and waters during the Akwesasne Spring Clean-Up!

 

This year, we’re teaming up with Iakwa’shatste Youth Fitness to add a special shoreline clean-up by kayak — a great opportunity to protect the river, earn volunteer hours, and enjoy time on the water.

Sign up at either of these locations:

  • A’nowara’ko:wa Arena
  • Generations Park

 

🌿 WHAT’S PROVIDED

  • Clean-up supplies
  • Event-day shirts (while supplies last)
  • Light lunch at 12:00 p.m.

 

🛶 KAYAK CLEAN-UP DETAILS

  • Meet at The Point in Kana:takon at 9:00 a.m.
  • Bring your own kayak or borrow one of the 23 provided — nia:wen to Iakwa’shatste Youth Fitness & our MCA Land-Based Healing Program for sponsoring!
  • Dress for the weather, bring a water bottle and a hat.
