The Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education has requested that an election be held for the upcoming Board of Trustees opening seats:
• One (1) 3-year term – District of Kana:takon
• One (1) 3-year term – District of Kawehno:ke
• Two (2) 3-year terms – District of Tsi Snaihne
• One (1) 3-year term – District of Kana:takon
• One (1) 3-year term – District of Kawehno:ke
• Two (2) 3-year terms – District of Tsi Snaihne
Nominations will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the following locations:
• Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School (Cafeteria)
• Kana:takon School (Lobby)
• Iohahi:io Akwesasne Education & Training Institute (Cafeteria)
• Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School (Cafeteria)
• Kana:takon School (Lobby)
• Iohahi:io Akwesasne Education & Training Institute (Cafeteria)
Candidates must complete and submit their nomination package no later than Friday, July 25, 2025, deadline to submit is 12:00 p.m. (noon).
Advanced polls if needed will be held August 11-12, 2025, by appointment only at the Angus Mitchell Memorial Building in Kana:takon between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Should an election be required, AMBE Elections will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the following locations:

• Iohahi:io Akwesasne Education & Training Institute (Cafeteria)

The Voters List will be available for viewing at the following locations:

The CEO strongly encourages ALL community members to please check your District Voters List to ensure you are registered to vote.
Should your name not appear on the voters list you MUST complete Schedule G & Schedule H, which must be accompanied with proof of your address to the CEO.
