Executive Services Initiatives
Executive Services has a number of initiatives to improve administrative services to the organization. These initiatives include the following:

  • To assist Council with the development of the strategic direction for the community and ensure that
  • all strategic goals are integrated into MCA operations
  • To assist in supporting the overall goals and objectives of Council
  • Ensure the proper use of Community assets
  • Ensure proper management of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne
  • Ensure consistent application of policy development within all MCA Departments and programs
  • To encourage the use of Mohawk Language throughout the organization
  • To oversee the process of negotiating contracts and funding arrangements

Human Resources
Human Resources provides guidance and advice to Management on the various HR issues they encounter on a daily basis. Guidance and advice is also provided to MCA employees, and Council and Community Members.

Finance provides core accounting functions to the MCA Departments and Programs.

  • Financial management of group insurance benefits

Operational Support
OSP actively services the departments and programs of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne through the

  • coordination of a number of activities and functions:
  • 147 Fleet Vehicles (Cars, Trucks, Buses, Heavy Equipment, Trailers, ATVs, Snowmobiles, Boats, Seadoos)
  • 263 drivers of which 232 are trained in the Safe Driver Training Program
  • 3 Postal Outlets for mail services
  • 665 incomings mail per month
  • 1,100 outgoing mail per month
  • 33 facilities with First Aid stations
  • 28 facilities have Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
  • 40 Multifunction Equipment
  • 435 participants of Annual Health and Safety Training
  • 57 Construction Safety Inspections
