TOTAS FLOAT WITH PRIDE ON MEMORIAL DAY
Thanks to the amazing Iakhihsohtha Lodge team and a group of generous volunteers, our totas were front and centre for this year’s 2025 Akwesasne Memorial Day Parade!
With help from Mary Faye and Toby Roundpoint — who kindly donated their time and materials — our elders had a beautiful float to ride in style. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren hopped on board too, proudly waving to family and community members along the route.
Those who preferred not to be on the float still showed their pride, cheering and waving from the comfort of the Lodge bus with big smiles on their faces.
A heartfelt nia:wen to Larry Roundpoint for driving the float, and to every volunteer who helped make this a parade to remember. Our totas felt the love — and it showed!
