BODY FOUND IN ST. LAWRENCE RIVER

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service is investigating the discovery of a deceased person in the St. Lawrence River on Monday, July 3, 2023 at approximately 2 p.m.  The body was recovered in the vicinity of Ross Island, Akwesasne.

 

Police are awaiting confirmation from the coroner’s office regarding the identity of the individual.  We will share this information as soon as possible. No other details or information can be released at this time.
