BEAT THE HOLIDAY BLUES

The holiday season can bring joy, but for many, it can also bring feelings of stress or sadness. Here are some tips to help you navigate the season and care for your well-being:

Set Realistic Expectations: The holidays don’t have to be picture-perfect. Focus on what matters most and let go of unnecessary pressure.

💛 Acknowledge Your Feelings: It’s okay to feel sad or overwhelmed. Recognizing your emotions is an important step in addressing them.

🧘 Prioritize Self-Care: Rest, eat nourishing foods, and make time for activities like yoga, meditation, or simply taking a break.

🍷 Limit Alcohol: Alcohol is a depressant, meaning it can amplify low moods. Consider non-alcoholic options like sparkling juice or mocktails.

🏃 Stay Active: Even a short walk can lift your spirits by releasing feel-good endorphins.

🌙 Maintain Healthy Sleep Habits: Aim for 7–8 hours of sleep each night to help improve your mood and energy.

🎄 Create New Traditions: It’s okay to try something different this year — volunteer, visit someone new, or simplify celebrations.

🤝 Seek Support for Grief: Holidays can be tough if you’re grieving. Reach out to loved ones or friends who can support you.

🚫 Set Boundaries: It’s okay to say “no” and avoid overcommitting yourself. Protect your energy and time.

📚 Do What Brings You Joy: Read, watch a funny movie, listen to music, or try a new hobby to nurture your inner world.
