CBSA DOMESTIC LANE INFORMATION SESSION TO BE HELD VIA ZOOM

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) and representatives from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will be hosting a community information session on the implementation of a Domestic Lane Pilot Project at the CBSA Cornwall Port of Entry (POE).

The pilot will begin on Nov. 3, 2020 in an effort to create a faster, smoother border crossing experience.

Travellers and vehicles that have not left Canada are encouraged to use the new Domestic Lane.

All traffic arriving to the port from the United States (even those who transited through the U.S. from the districts of Kana:takon and Tsi Snaihne) must use the regular lanes for international traffic.

MCA and CBSA have collaborated on this pilot project and will present the logistics during the Zoom Information Session.

The Zoom meeting will take place on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 at 6 p.m. To take part in the meeting, please email communications@akwesasne.ca for the meeting login information.
