COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAM HOSTS COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Community Health Program (CHP) hosted a health fair at the St. Regis Recreation Center on Wednesday, November 30th. Various programs from within the Department of Health (DOH) provided educational tables, health assessments, interactive activities, and provided attendees with a take-home lunch. This event was coordinated by the Community Health Program’s Diabetes Services Team for November Diabetes Awareness Month.

Health programs provided information on various topics, such as stress management, sexual wellness, health screenings, health information, and much more. Flu shots were also provided to those interested in receiving one. A fitness challenge was also provided to any willing to participate.

The Community Health Program would like to thank the community members who attended and the health programs that provided informational tables and activities.
