DCSS ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN FAMILY SUSTAINABILITY CHEQUE DISTRIBUTION LOCATION FOR SNYE

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Community & Social Services (DCSS) is announcing that the “Family Sustainability” funds (cheques) distribution date scheduled for Tsi Snaihne on April 5th will instead take place in the District of Kana:takon at the St. Regis Recreation Center. This change in distribution location is to avoid congestion in the district of Tsi Snaihne as first responders continue their search efforts. Should the search be completed prior to the April 5th date, cheque distribution will remain as scheduled in Tsi Snaihne. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Community members are able to pick up cheques at any of the distribution locations regardless of which district they reside.  Akwesasronon residents who reside in the City of Cornwall may also pick up their checks at any of the distribution locations.
