The Department of Community and Social Services’ Food Security Program would like to inform the community that the next distribution will take place on Thursday, September 16 and Friday, September 17.

Note: Due to the new holiday on September 30, there will be no distribution that week. Distribution will resume on October 7-8, 2021.

Community members are asked to register by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10. To register, please call 613-936-1548 ext. 1300 or email foodsecurity@akwesasne.ca.

Due to the increasing number of no-shows, please note that if you miss your appointment without first notifying staff, your box will be given to the next family on the list.

Please list only members of the family that reside with you on your intake form. We realize that special circumstances do happen, we ask that you call and discuss with us if such a circumstance arises.

To ensure sustainability of the Food Security Program we ask that community members be honest when filling out intake forms. Dishonesty on forms may result in suspension or removal from the program.

Please be reminded to follow the COVID-19 prevention measures in place: wear a mask, practice social distancing, and only arrive at the distribution site at your confirmed pick-up time. For the safety of staff and the community, drop-ins are not allowed.
