The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne would like to remind the community of the upcoming Information Meetings for the proposed draft Akwesasne Election Law – Amendment on the following dates, times and locations:
- Tsi Snaihne — Saturday, April 27 (10 AM – 12 PM) — Iohahi:io Adult Education Center
- Kana:takon — Tuesday, April 30 (6 PM – 8 PM) — Kana:takon Recreation Center
- Kawehno:ke — Thursday, May 9 (6 PM – 8 PM) — Kawehno:ke Recreation Center
*The Kawehno:ke District meeting was previously scheduled for Monday, April 29, but was rescheduled to a later date.
The last date to submit comments to the Akwesasne Legislative Commission regarding the proposed Akwesasne Election Law — Amendment is Monday, May 6. For more information, please contact Justice Coordinator Kyrie Ransom at 613-575-2250 ext. 2403.
