KAWEHNO:KE MEDICAL CLINIC OFFERING COVID-19 TESTING
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health (DOH) is notifying the community that the Kawehno:ke Medical Clinic (KMC) will be hosting COVID-19 testing on Thursday, September 23, 2021 and Friday, September 24, 2021, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. via a COVID-19 testing trailer located in the Kawehno:ke Medical Clinic parking lot.
Testing will be a drive-thru test service and there will be no need to exit your vehicle. Pull up to the testing trailer, and KMC staff will administer the test. It is preferable to book your COVID-19 test at 613-932-5808, but it is not a requirement. Non-scheduled tests might incur a wait time to receive their tests.
COVID-19 PCR (nasal swab) test results can take 2-5 days to return. Those individuals with OHIP cards can access their results online. When attending the drive-thru testing clinic, please be sure to bring your ID, status card, Tribal ID, or health card.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms, or have been exposed to an individual with COVID-19, please continue to isolate until you’ve discussed isolation duration with a Community Health Nurse. A negative test does not mean you’re released from isolation.
Any questions or concerns, or to schedule your COVID-19 test at the KMC drive-thru testing dates, please call 613-932-5808.
