At approximately 6 a.m. this morning, September 25, 2019, residents in the District of Kawehno:ke had low to no water pressure. The issue was caused by a power failure from the incoming hydro lines which caused the water pumps to “trip out.” MCA water operators were able to get to the water plant and partially restore water by 6:30 a.m.

Cornwall Electric was notified and the issue was identified as a minor problem in their power lines. By 8 a.m. the water plant on Kawehno:ke was fully functioning.

The MCA Water/Wastewater Program apologizes for this inconvenience. We take pride in servicing the community and in providing safe, potable water to the residents in the three districts under MCA. Niawenko:wa for your patience and understanding.
