LINES AT CBSA CAUSING HEALTH PROGRAM DELAYS

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health (DOH) is providing notice to the community that due to a delay in the border crossing at the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) in Cornwall, staff members are experiencing a delay in reaching their clients.

Wait times at CBSA are currently estimated to be about an hour. Health Program staff are doing their best to get to their clients in a timely manner.

Should they be experiencing a delay in reaching their clients for their scheduled home visits or appointments, DOH programs will reach out to their clients to inform them of the delay.

For Non-Insured Health Benefits Medical Transportation Services, the MCA medical vans are able to access the Domestic Lane. Clients still need to provide ID when crossing.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the health program in which you receive services at 613-575-2341.
