MCA DEPT. OF HEALTH AT FNHMA CONFERENCE 2019

MCA Director of Health Keith Leclaire was the proud recipient of the 2019 Excellence in Health Leadership Award!

Keith was joined by some of the Department of Health managers when he received his award at the annual First Nations Health Managers Association Conference that was held on November 6 in Montreal.

This award is designed to recognize those who have exhibited a sincere and long-term commitment, as well as leadership, in First Nations health management in Canada.

The Department of Health would also like to recognize and thank Leah Tarbell, Acting Program Manager for the Akwesasne Mohawk Ambulance Unit, for her excellent presentation at the conference on “Pre-Hospital Emergency Care: The Akwesasne Experience”. This unique presentation discussed the program’s development since 1982, Akwesasne’s jurisdictional issues, and our commitment to excel in providing partnerships, training, expertise and skill enhancements that benefit our community.

Congratulations to both Keith and Leah!
