NATIONAL INDIGENOUS WATER OPERATOR DAY

March 21 is National Indigenous Water Operator Day (NIWOD). This day was specifically chosen to be one day before World Water Day to serve as a reminder that we must first recognize and honour those helping bring the water to our taps every day.

We are grateful to our Water/Wastewater Program staff for their dedication to ensuring clean, potable water for Akwesasronon. A big niawenhkó:wa goes out to our team members: Program Manager John Adams, Clayton Barnes, Craig Cree, Pat David, Shane Francis, John “Tate” Lazore, Keith Mitchell, Tom Oakes, and Conway “Dibbo” Thompson.
