POTENTIAL FLOATING HAZARD IN ST. LAWRENCE RIVER

A very large tree (approximately 40 ft. in length) is floating in the St. Lawrence River near the mouth of the Raquette River that will be a potential harm to small water vessels within the area.

The St. Lawrence Seaway Authority is aware of (and currently monitoring) this potential hazard and will remove it tomorrow as their current operations staff are out repairing buoys.

We are asking that our local boaters be very cautious in and around this area.

Niawenko:wa/Thank you for your patience as the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority continues to provide safe and secure voyage through our waters.
