TWO ARRESTED FOR MISCHIEF IN KANA:TAKON

On July 26, 2021, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police received information of two individuals spray painting walls at the Water Treatment Facility located in Kana:takon (St. Regis), QC.

Police attended the area and located two individuals wearing masks and holding spray cans. Both individuals were arrested for mischief, taken into custody, and later released to appear in court at a later date.

Graffiti vandalism is a crime. It is the act of marking or defacing a premises or other property without permission. The removal and prevention of graffiti can become very costly and affect funding for other programs.
