MCA SEEKS PARTICIPATION IN COVID-19 VACCINE SURVEY

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health, and the Community Health Program, is planning for community vaccinations for COVID-19. MCA does not currently have vaccines as of yet, but is anticipating its arrival very soon. As part of the planning and roll-out process of the community vaccine, we are providing the following brief questionnaire, to gauge community response/willingness to receive the vaccine.

There will be two (2) vaccines that will be utilized for the Akwesasne Community. The Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine will be provided to the Longterm Care Facilities for residents and staff, and Moderna mRNA – 127 will be distributed for the overall community. Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are a 2-dose vaccine: the initial vaccine injection followed by a booster injection, given 21-28 days after the first dosage, and have been approved by Health Canada. As of now, MCA does not have a projected community clinic set for the vaccine.

The Department of Health thanks you for your participation in this anonymous survey. The survey can be taken at the link below.

The survey will close on January 15, 2021.
