The community and public are invited to attend a September 30th event to honour the children affected by Indian Residential Schools: the survivors, their descendants and the many children who did not come home.

The event is taking place Friday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. Lamoureux Park in Cornwall.

Activities will include the orange bench unveiling, meal sharing of corn soup, fried bread and strawberry drink, social singing and dancing, and speakers sharing words and discussion.

Please join us.  This event is hosted by the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Representative & Advocacy Program (ARAP), Akwesasne Child and Family Services, the Children’s Aid Society of the United Counties of S, D & G, and the city of Cornwall.
